About me
I am an early-career volcanologist and Assistant Professor of Mineralogy & Petrology. As an avid science communicator, I am passionate about making science accessible and engaging for everyone—from young students to retirees.
My research focuses on interpreting past eruptions of active volcanoes in the western United States to understand magma chamber processes by linking petrology, geochemistry, and numerical modeling. A central goal of my work is to bridge detailed petrologic observations with broader questions about volcanic behavior, improving our understanding of how and where magma is stored, how magma systems evolve over time, and how past eruptions can inform interpretations of ongoing volcanic activity.
